Le poste
We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer F/M for our client. It is a best-in-class provider of innovative radio communication technology and solutions that aim to improve critical communication in confined areas, such as road tunnels, railway tunnels, metros, offshore wind farm platforms, airports, etc.
As Solution Support Engineer with Software development skills, your main mission is to keep customer satisfaction at a high level.
You will be responsible for addressing the immediate needs of customers by analyzing technical problems, trying to reproduce them in the internal laboratory and proposing solutions to solve them.
By providing bug analyses, you will help the management to assess priorities on the tasks during review meetings.
You will keep the customer informed of the progress of the investigations, the bug resolutions, and the planning.
Following development processes in place, you will actively maintain and add new features to the main applications under the supervision of software architects.
As a member of the Software team, you will help with testing and documenting the applications before the deliveries.
You like travelling occasionally to visit customers on site, when needed.
Profil recherché
Background
Master's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years with stack Node.js + Angular.
Organization
- Reporting to the Head of Software
- Your role will be central with direct connections to Customer service team (support Level 1), other software developers, deployment engineers, electronics engineers.
Hard Skills
Mandatory:
- A polyvalent developer, not afraid to jump from C++ to Javascript or TypeScript
- Demonstrated experience with Node.js and Angular
- Linux app deployment & administration
- GIT source control
Assets (not mandatory, but wished):
- Usage of Docker
- NginX
- Notions of TCP/IP networks
- VoIP/SIP communication, Asterisk
- Knowledge of a ticketing tool like Jira
Soft Skills
- You like computer science applied to industrial hardware
- Some experience with customer service is a plus
- You are communicative and you like relationship with customers
- You like customer-focused challenges: problem-solving is you, what you were born for. You are pragmatic and you can think out "of the box"
- You have a good autonomy, while remaining very communicative with your team through accurate reporting
- You are organized, pro-active, able to present a plan and provide regular reports of progress
- You like proposing improvements to the processes.
Languages :
- Fluent in English (min B2)
- Fluent in French (min B2)
- Spanish and Dutch are an asset
