We are recruiting a Senior Software Developer (C# / Python) for a Permanent Position with a leading Defense Group.
Job Description
On this position, you will be responsible to develop PC-based software applicable to various Products/Projects, such as Mission Planning
software, Test Benches, etc., as well as software that will support Software Engineering.
Required Skills:
- Must be very proficient and independent at developing applications in a PC environment experience developing applications in a PC environment?, (including a deep understanding of the .NET framework) and Python. Knowledge of Java will be an advantage.
- Must show high level of proficiency and independence in analyzing, designing and implementing databases and related applications.
- Timeously deliver working code that satisfies requirements, and which is in compliance with company software quality and coding standards, configuration management practices, etc.
- Contribute as part of technical design teams regarding evaluation, testing practices, methods and coding of PC-based applications.
- Apply sound software engineering practices. Deliver documented software designs and take part in design reviews.
- Show high level of proficiency in the use of software configuration management tools and best practices.
- Be able to mentor and assist others to speed up project delivery.
- Be able to mentor junior personnel and assist others to speed up project delivery.
- Provide inputs to management regarding future PC-based software requirements, needs and trends, as well as inputs to budgets.
- Assist in the generation of a technology horizon plan that includes resources and software development tools.
Required qualifications
- 8 years' experience in the PC-based C# and/or Python development (experience in both is preferable). Experience in Java will also be an advantage.
- Able to easily understand spoken and written English, as well as the ability to clearly express him/herself in English.
- Training certificate in C# and Python (certificates in both is preferable). The same for Java will be an advantage.
