Job Description
We are recruiting a Simulation Developer 3D with at least 4 years of experience working in simulation, training, or videogame development, for a permanent position with an emerging leader on advanced Radio Frequency and Real-Time Telecommunication Systems for Security and Protection.
Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, integrate and document software of moderate complexity within a 3D engine and simulation environment.
- Develop and document component and moderate changes to software requirements documentation, applying knowledge of processes, tools and methods in the management and tracking of software requirements baseline.
- Apply techniques and skills required to ensure proper maintainability of the code base as it grows.
- Optimizing the performance to maintain framerate on specific machines.
- Focus on build pipeline and proper version control.
- Participating in design reviews and code reviews.
- Maintain awareness of the latest innovations in the domains of 3D engines and software development.
Required qualifications
- Degree or certificate in game development, computer science, or software engineering.
- 3+ years of experience working in simulation, training, or videogame development.
- Experience in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java.
- Knowledge of a 3D game engine (ideally Unreal Engine, but also acceptable CryEngine, Unity3D, Ogre3D, SourceEngine, Godot, VBS3, VR-Vantage, Unigine)
- (optional) experience in low level 3D development with OpenGL or DirectX.
- Expertise in general software engineering and architecture principles, and an understanding of modeling & simulation as a discipline.
