Job description
We are looking for an Optical Metrology & ATE Test Development Engineer to develop and validate automated test solutions for optical modules and integrated display systems.
The role involves end-to-end test development, optical measurement systems, calibration, data analysis, and transferring technologies from R&D to mass production.
This is a B2B opportunity requiring relocation to Germany and full-time on-site work in Regensburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and program ATE test systems (e.g. Teradyne, Advantest).
- Design and validate optical metrology solutions, including hardware and test software.
- Perform tester calibration, alignment, and cross-site correlation.
- Analyze measurement data and improve production yield.
- Automate testing and data collection using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers on new measurement technologies.
Required qualifications
- Degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in ATE programming and optical metrology development.
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
