Job description

As an Electrochemical Development Engineer, you help develop advanced electrochemical systems through hands-on experimental research, testing and analysis. You work on new catalysts and device architectures, with a focus on performance, stability, charge transport and reaction mechanisms.

You are part of a multidisciplinary research team and work closely with experts in materials science, chemistry, device engineering and catalysis. Your results directly guide technology development. They also feed into technical reports, project deliverables, scientific publications and exchanges with project partners.

Design, execute, and analyze electrochemical and physicochemical experiments on novel catalyst and device structures.
Develop testing methodologies to evaluate performance, stability, charge transport, and reaction behavior of advanced electrochemical systems.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment for electrochemical characterization, including impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and related measurement techniques.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers in materials science, chemistry, device engineering, and catalysis to interpret results and guide technology development.
Document experimental findings, prepare technical reports, and contribute to project deliverables, publications, and interactions with project partners.

Required qualifications

You have a technical/scientific oriented Master degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Physics, Electrical engineering or similar.
A good understanding of electrochemistry, electrostatics or thermochemical conversion.
At least a first relevant experience through Master internship/thesis is mandatory.
A first relevant experience in labs is mandatory.
You are pragmatic and have an hands-on mindset.
You have strong communication skills and can easily make complex topics understandable.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
