Job description
We are looking for an IT Analyst to join a banking project focused on the development and maintenance of payment settlement systems in the Polish and European markets. The role combines business and system analysis, requirements management, solution design, and testing, with the opportunity to act as a proxy Product Owner in the payments area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain systems supporting payment settlement in the Polish and European markets.
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Prepare functional and non-functional requirements as part of system analysis.
- Analyse business processes, system integrations, and data models.
- Collaborate with IT, Business, and external teams to design solutions.
- Manage changes and ensure the quality and consistency of project documentation.
- Verify that implemented solutions comply with agreed specifications.
- Prepare test scenarios and support testing activities.
- Act as a proxy Product Owner within the payments area.
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT projects within the banking or financial sector.
- Knowledge of requirements gathering and functional/non-functional specification techniques.
- Practical experience with business process analysis, functional requirements, data models, and system integrations.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- English at minimum B2 level, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with payment settlement systems such as Elixir, Express Elixir, Sorbet, SEPA, or TARGET.
- Knowledge of system architecture and integration patterns, including EIP, Event-Driven Architecture, microservices, and REST.
- Knowledge of techniques such as Event Storming, Domain Storytelling, User Story Mapping, or Example Mapping.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) at a strategic level and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience with Git.
- Knowledge of Diagram as Code or Model as Code approaches.
- Understanding of test strategy and test automation.
- Ability to read and understand code at a basic level.
- Experience using AI tools to improve and optimize daily work
