Job description
Position Summary
The Senior Resident Quality Engineer is the primary representative at the customer manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia. The position acts as the direct interface between the customer and the supplying plants in the Europe and China, ensuring customer satisfaction during launch and serial production.
The role focuses on customer quality management, issue resolution, launch support, and proactive communication to prevent disruptions at the customer assembly plant.
Main Responsibilities
Customer Interface
Act as the first point of contact for all quality-related matters at the customer.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customer
Participate in daily production and quality meetings at the customer site.
Represent professionally and ensure timely communication of customer expectations and concerns.
Quality Management
Problem Solving & Escalation
Launch & Serial Production Support
Reporting & Communication
Provide regular quality performance reports and escalation updates to management.
Ensure efficient communication between Lucid and the supplying plants.
Share lessons learned and customer feedback throughout the organization.

Required qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in Automotive Quality.
Previous experience as Resident Engineer, Customer Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or Plant Quality Engineer.
Proven experience managing OEM customer relationships.
Experience supporting new product launches and serial production.
Experience in the automotive glazing industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D methodology.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements.
Understanding of automotive glass manufacturing processes (bending, lamination, coating, encapsulation, assembly) is a strong advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
Languages
Fluent Arabic (mandatory).
Fluent English (mandatory).
Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
