The Project
We are currently looking for a Technical Director for a major project in Mozambique involving the construction of an offloading terminal, a jetty and a port quay (project value of approximately €800 million).
Job Description
Overview of the role
- Define and lead the maritime technical strategy in line with project objectives.
- Provide expertise in maritime engineering, constructability and execution methods.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage resource planning.
- Establish technical processes, tools and engineering governance.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, methodologies and temporary works.
- Coordinate Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities.
- Oversee marine operations, coastal works, offshore installations and marine assets.
- Lead lifting studies, construction sequences and installation methods.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, maritime regulations, quality, cost and schedule requirements while managing technical risks.
- Act as the technical interface with clients, consultants, authorities, JV partners and subcontractors, including claims and variations.
Required qualifications
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in maritime engineering and/or Oil & Gas projects, ideally on large-scale projects (€400M+).
- Strong experience in maritime projects, with offshore/marine foundations experience considered a strong asset.
- Fluent English and strong experience working in international project environments.
Benefits
