ARENGY, a Technical Consultancy and Recruitment Services company based in the UAE, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Automation Engineer for a major industrial project in the aerospace and defense sector.
Job Description
The successful candidate will support the development and industrialization of highly automated assembly and testing systems, combining mechanical engineering, robotics, manufacturing processes, and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and industrialize automated mechanical assembly and testing processes.
- Define equipment and automation solutions including robotics, conveyors, servo systems, handling equipment and automated tooling.
- Support design validation, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA and production readiness.
- Develop robust assembly processes involving tightening, dispensing, pressing, welding and other automated manufacturing operations.
- Implement error-proofing, inspection and process-monitoring solutions to ensure high product quality.
- Optimize production performance including cycle time, throughput, line balancing and equipment efficiency.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and production qualification.
- Develop traceability and manufacturing data-monitoring solutions.
- Design and validate production test equipment and test benches.
- Lead technical problem solving, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Work closely with automation, controls, quality, manufacturing, supply-chain teams and equipment suppliers.
Required qualifications
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Around 10+ years of experience in automated manufacturing, assembly or industrial equipment.
- Strong experience with robotic or automated production systems.
- Good understanding of mechanical design, GD&T, tolerance analysis and industrialization.
- Practical experience with automated assembly processes such as tightening, dispensing, pressing or welding.
- Experience selecting and integrating manufacturing equipment and automation components.
- Knowledge of production KPIs, OEE, cycle-time improvement and line balancing.
- Experience with equipment commissioning, process validation and production qualification.
- Familiarity with industrial data acquisition, MES, IIoT or manufacturing traceability systems.
- Experience within aerospace, defense, automotive or other high-precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP or similar quality standards would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
