We are seeking experienced Metro Signaling Technicians to join a leading international engineering and technology organization delivering large-scale infrastructure and mobility projects in the UAE.
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to lead and guide the Signaling & Asset Protection System (APS) and Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) maintenance division of technicians into achieving the contractual maintenance goals, while he/she will also be an active member of the workforce responsible for routine, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, testing and reporting. The technological subsystems under the division include: Interlocking, RBC, Axle Counter, Point Machines, APS (e.g. e.g. Hot Axle Bearing Detector (HABD)/Hot Wheel Detector (HWD)/Rail Head Temperature (RHT) , Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID), Dragging Equipment Detector (DED),Weight In Motion (WIM) /Weight Impact Load Detector (WILD) etc), SCADA, OCC.
Key Technical Responsibilities
Perform and carry out maintenance duties related to Signaling/APS/SCADA division.
- Provide comprehensive technical support to the line maintenance team within his/her division.
- Provide maintenance training and guidance to the maintenance team of Signaling.
- Lead the Signaling maintenance division team at the resolution of complex failures and produce reports following the rectification as requested.
- Updating information into the Maintenance Management System.
- Early identification of failure trends that may impact the systems' availability.
- Usage of tools and special tools as necessary and part of the maintenance activities.
- Coordinate the calibration of special tools where applicable.
- Run and analyze diagnostics.
- Configuration of Signaling systems' software parameters when necessary.
- Describe and carry out troubleshooting procedures in order to pinpoint possible faults and failures.
- Assist in updating the work instructions and standard operating procedures due to maintenance procedures changes.
- Be mobile to reach locations on the line where failures are occurring.
- Carry out on-call duties.

Teamwork
- To lead Signaling maintenance team in order for it to provide comprehensive maintenance services covering Signaling, APS, SCADA and OCC systems so that they operate to a high degree of integrity and in a safe and reliable manner.
Required qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Railway Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on railway signaling maintenance experience.
- Experience with Signaling, SCADA and/or APS systems.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance skills.
- Experience with signaling software configuration/parameters and maintenance tools.
- Experience leading/supporting maintenance teams in resolving complex failures.
- Knowledge of CMMS/MMS and technical maintenance reporting.
- Ability to conduct training and update WIs/SOPs.
- Willingness to work shifts and on-call, including emergency response.
- Ability to work safely in a live railway environment and travel along the line as required.
