As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a System Expert – Electronics & Embedded Systems to join one of our clients and contribute to the development of complex electronic systems for medical and industrial applications.
Job Description
As a System Expert, you will play a key role in the development of complex systems combining electronics, FPGA, firmware and embedded software.
You will provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects, translating system requirements into robust technical architectures and ensuring the performance, reliability and quality of the final solution.
You will work closely with teams across Systems, Electronics, Software, Mechanics, Quality, Manufacturing and Project Management in an international and innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Translate system requirements into electronics specifications, architectures and technical solutions
Define and review system and electronics architectures for complex medical and industrial systems
Provide technical leadership across electronics, FPGA, firmware and embedded software domains
Design, develop, verify and maintain electronic and embedded systems
Lead and participate in technical and design reviews
Ensure compliance with internal development processes, quality requirements and applicable standards
Coordinate technical activities with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Investigate complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
Define and implement corrective and preventive actions
Support system integration, validation and testing activities, including laboratory testing, EMC testing and unit-level verification
Contribute to high-speed PCB design, simulations and technical analysis
Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams when required
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers
Promote knowledge sharing, technical best practices and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent
At least 10 years of professional experience in electronics development, embedded systems, firmware or a related engineering field
Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Electronics
FPGA
Embedded software / firmware
Broad understanding of complex embedded system architectures
Solid experience with SoC and FPGA architectures, ideally including: AMD Xilinx, Intel Altera, ARM, DSP
Experience with development tools such as: Altium, Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Git, Polarion, Teamcenter
Proven experience with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity
Knowledge of electronics simulations and EMC requirements / compliance
Experience in system-level troubleshooting, integration and laboratory validation
Knowledge of functional safety and regulated development environments is a strong plus, particularly:
IEC 62304
ISO 26262
DO-178C / DO-254
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide technical leadership in multidisciplinary teams
Fluent in English
French is considered a plus
