Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and support scalable data solutions in a cloud-based environment. The role focuses on AWS data services, SQL, big data processing, and integration with enterprise and laboratory systems within a pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services.
- Build data solutions using S3, AWS Glue, and Athena.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries using distributed data platforms such as Trino/Presto or Databricks.
- Develop data transformation processes using Python, Scala, or PySpark.
- Integrate data from enterprise and laboratory systems, including SAP, GLIMS, and Veeva.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and efficient processing.
- Collaborate with data, IT, and business teams in an Agile environment.
- Support CI/CD processes and continuous improvement of data engineering solutions.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, particularly S3, Glue, and Athena.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Trino/Presto or Databricks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or PySpark.
- Experience integrating data from ERP and laboratory systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Agile and CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of GxP and data integrity requirements.
- Previous experience working with SAP ERP.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or life sciences.
