About the Role We are looking for a Mechatronic Technician to join our Technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining GPS tracking systems, probes and telematics hardware on customer vehicles and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable installations, delivering excellent customer service and supporting the performance of our fleet management solutions. Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning
- Install GPS devices, probes and other telematics equipment on customer vehicles. - Configure and calibrate hardware to ensure optimal system performance. - Perform installation testing and verify proper operation before handover. - Provide customers with guidance on the use of installed equipment.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and technical issues. - Carry out repairs and maintenance on installed equipment. - Update software following repairs and maintenance activities. - Maintain accurate job cards and technical documentation.
Operations & Planning
- Conduct site and equipment surveys to determine the appropriate hardware solution. - Assist in planning daily technical interventions. - Prepare hardware requests and coordinate equipment issued from stock. - Support inventory control of terminals, sensors, SIM cards and other hardware.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay up to date with new software features and hardware technologies. - Recommend improvements to technical processes and business operations. - Contribute ideas that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Profil recherché
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Mechatronics or a related field. - Valid driving licence.
Experience
- Up to 2 years of experience in mechatronics, electronics, maintenance or a related technical field. - Previous experience installing electronic or telematics equipment is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems. - Good understanding of maintenance principles and troubleshooting techniques. - Ability to use technical tools and diagnostic equipment. - Comfortable working with software configuration and hardware installations.
