Job Description
We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a project for our client in the edtech space. If you enjoy building reliable, scalable cloud platforms and helping engineering teams ship faster, we'd love to hear from you. Apply and let's build something with real impact together!
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (Python)
- Set up and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines with AWS-native and Git-based tools
- Make developers' lives easier through self-service tools and platform automation
- Strengthen observability across monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools like CloudWatch and Datadog
- Keep the platform secure and compliant by applying DevSecOps practices and automation
- Own reliability and performance, working to prevent incidents and recover from them faster
- Keep cloud spending efficient and under control
- Help drive and speed up the move from on-premises infrastructure to AWS
- Work closely with development and product teams in an open, supportive way
- Help grow a healthy DevOps culture built on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS as your main platform
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or CloudFormation)
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Good working knowledge of Linux systems
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog
- A solid understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, Zero Trust, compliance)
- Experience working with containerized environments (ECS Fargate)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with hybrid setups (on-premises + cloud)
- Experience with cost optimization in AWS
- Experience contributing to platform engineering or internal developer platforms
