Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data / DWH Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse and data engineering solutions across the full product lifecycle. The role focuses on building reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing data models, ensuring data quality, and enabling analytics and application integration in a modern Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions, data marts, and data models.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and automated data workflows.
- Develop and maintain DBT-based transformation layers and DWH models.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings and technical documentation.
- Develop and support FastAPI-based data services and integrations.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and post-load quality checks.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/pgSQL stored procedures for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support Agile delivery processes, testing, deployment, and release readiness activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and engineering practices.
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehouse development.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, OLTP, and OLAP concepts.
- Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena, Trino, or SQLite.
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, and FastAPI.
- Familiarity with testing and validation approaches (e.g. PyTests, SQL validation).
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
