Job Description

As Controls Engineer you will design, develop and validate the control strategies of our innovative hybrid DCT transmission: DT2. It has a modular design with variants that are suitable for mild-, plug-in and full hybrid vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to cutting-edge SW solutions within the automotive industry, ensuring compliance with functional-, performance- and safety standards. Responsibilities: - You will join a team of >20 controls engineers that develop the controls software for our hybrid DCT product line. - The controls software is developed according to the Model Based Development process (V-cycle) with Simulink. You will work on the design and validation of specific functions or modules in the application software, e.g. driving strategy, coordination, clutch- or gear actuation, diagnostics, functional safety. - You will be involved in every step of the software development V-cycle for the functions that you are working on, i.e. defining the requirements (in alignment with the customer), designing the control strategies, implementing them in Simulink, verifying them in a simulation environment (MiL) and supporting the validation on other test platforms (HiL, test bench, vehicle). - You will work together closely with different internal stakeholders (system engineering team, functional validation & performance team, ESW team, testing team and simulation team) contributing to the realization of new powertrain technologies and products.

Required qualifications

- Master's or PhD in Mechatronics, Controls, Electrical Engineering or similar - 3+ years of work experience, preferably in the automotive context - Extensive experience with a broad set of MathWorks products (including Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, EmbededCoder) - Experience with production-intended control strategy design, for code generation purposes. - Experience with issue analysis according to formal processes (like the 8D method) - Experience performing functional and nonfunctional tests (mainly at SW validation level) for automotive components, subsystems or systems - Experience with Data and measurement analysis (e.g., in canape) - Good knowledge of ISO26262 (mainly part 6) and ASPICE SWE1 to SWE6 - Basic understanding of AUTOSAR - Experience with Agile teams and familiarity with toolchains like JIRA, is an asset - You proceed according to a good methodology in development and problem solving. - You are well organized and have strong analytical and communication skills.
