Job Description

Our client is a major international player active in the defense and secure communication sector, developing advanced technological solutions used worldwide in mission-critical environments. Within its Engineering division, the Software Engineering team is responsible for the development of software solutions integrated into products, projects, and services delivered to customers across the globe. To strengthen its teams, we are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer – C/C++. Your Role You will join a dynamic engineering team working on accessories and connected devices related to military communication systems. Your main mission will be to integrate a TCP/IP stack with secure communication protocols into a family of embedded devices, primarily used for secure software updates. This role may also involve software adaptation and refactoring activities in order to facilitate integration and improve maintainability of the existing code base. Key Responsibilities Design & Development Design, develop, and maintain high-quality embedded software in C/C++ Integrate networking stacks and secure protocols into embedded devices Improve and refactor existing software architecture Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery Testing & Validation Perform testing and validation of embedded systems to ensure: Reliability Performance Security Develop and execute: Unit tests Integration tests System tests Conduct code reviews and identify vulnerabilities Documentation & Compliance Maintain clear documentation for designs, specifications, and testing procedures Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal processes, and best practices

Required qualifications

Strong experience in C and C++ embedded development Experience with STM32 M4 MPU family Good understanding of real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS) and microcontrollers Proven experience in embedded software engineering Experience with hardware/software integration Good knowledge of low-level drivers and device interfaces Experience in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical environments is a strong asset Fluent in English French is a strong plus
