Job Description
As part of the evolution of our client's strategic internal systems, we are looking for an Oracle & PL/SQL Developer to join a team based in Geneva.
You will work on a central platform used by business teams to manage and monitor their operational and financial activities.
Business teams rely on this platform on a daily basis to manage their operations and ensure the proper monitoring of their activities.
Participate in the development and enhancement of application features to support evolving business needs
Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions
Design and implement robust data models translating business needs into reliable technical structures
Maintain and improve existing system modules
Provide application support and assist users in resolving operational issues
Contribute to system integrations as part of the evolution of the information systems landscape
Participate in the continuous improvement of the architecture and tools used by the teams
Main stack:
Oracle Database
SQL / PL-SQL
Oracle Forms Builder
Depending on the projects, the environment may also include:
Python
C# / .NET
C++
Required qualifications
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally focused on databases or business systems
Strong skills in data modeling and SQL
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Strong autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business users
Additional assets:
Experience with PL/SQL or an equivalent procedural language (such as T-SQL)
Knowledge of the commodities trading, energy trading, or capital markets sectors is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Forms Builder
Knowledge of Python, C#, or C++
French is appreciated but not mandatory
