Le poste
Thai Union Europe is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to join the Quality Department within the Ambient Operations Business Unit.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of purchased raw materials, ingredients and packaging, with a strong focus on seafood products.
You will ensure that suppliers comply with regulatory, contractual, normative and internal requirements related to food safety, traceability and sustainability.
This position reports to the Quality Manager and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Qualification & Audits
- Participate in the supplier selection and approval process
- Conduct on-site supplier audits
- Assess supplier quality systems against standards such as IFS, BRCGS, ISO 22000 and HACCP
- Verify compliance with EU food regulations (and FDA where applicable)
- Evaluate seafood-specific risks including:
- Histamine
- Parasites
- Heavy metals
- Marine biotoxins
- Allergens
- Listeria
Supplier Performance Monitoring
- Monitor supplier quality KPIs (non-conformities, blocked lots, complaints)
- Lead Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPA)
- Review microbiological and chemical analysis results
- Conduct supplier performance reviews
Non-Conformity Management
- Manage raw material non-conformities
- Perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys or Fishbone
- Ensure full lot traceability
- Approve quality deviations when required
Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
- Validate technical specifications and product requirements
- Ensure compliance with seafood requirements including:
- Temperature control
- Origin and FAO fishing zones
- Labelling regulations
- Sustainability certifications (MSC, ASC, etc.)
- Manage export documentation when required
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement, R&D, Production, Logistics and Regulatory Affairs
- Support new product development projects

- CAPA closure lead time
- Audits completed vs planned
- Customer complaints linked to raw materials
- Approved supplier rate
Profil recherché
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in HACCP and risk assessment
- Knowledge of seafood-specific hazards
- Proficiency in IFS, BRCGS and ISO 22000 standards
- Ability to interpret laboratory analysis reports
- Strong analytical mindset and investigative skills
- Ability to balance firmness and diplomacy when working with suppliers
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food industry quality roles
- Proven experience conducting supplier audits
- Experience in the seafood sector is highly preferred
- Education
- Master's degree in Food Science, Food Safety or Quality Management
- Specialization in seafood is highly valued
