Le poste
We are looking for a skilled and business-oriented Data Analyst to join our Data Fabric team. In this role, you will translate internal business requirements into well-structured requirement specifications, analytical models, meaningful dashboards, and actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
You will work closely with internal business customers, data domain owners, project requestors, Data Engineers, and Data Architects to understand business processes, KPIs, and underlying data models. You will support proper planning of data models and transformations by helping clarify business logic, metric definitions, and reporting expectations before implementation.
Key responsibilities :
--> Business requirement analysis and data understanding :
- Identify and analyze internal customer requirements and translate them into clear analytical use cases and report specifications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes, KPIs, and decision-making workflows, including the business logic behind requested metrics.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of platform data models, master data domains (e.g., Customer, HR, Finance) and curated data products.
- Support data domain owners and project requestors in properly planning data models and transformations, ensuring clarity of definitions before engineering implementation.
- Validate metric definitions and business rules to ensure consistency across domains and reports.
--> Analytics development and visualization :
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI.
- Create semantic models and measures aligned with agreed business definitions and governance standards.
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive, accurate, and performance optimized.
- Continuously improve visualizations and reporting structures based on stakeholder feedback.
--> Data Platform collaboration :
- Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure required data transformations support business logic and reporting needs.
- Provide feedback on data quality, model usability, and gaps in curated data products.
- Promote consistent KPI definitions and documentation practices.
- Support onboarding of new platform users by providing guidance on available datasets and reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to governance practices by documenting metric definitions, report ownership, and usage guidelines.
Profil recherché
Required qualifications and experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, IT, Computer Science, Economics, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of business requirements analysis and ability to translate business needs into structured analytical models.
- Experience working with relational data models and understanding data transformation concepts.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and DAX (PowerBI).
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard creation, semantic modeling, and visualization.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including working with Lakehouse/Warehouse artifacts and semantic models.
- Ability to understand and document business logic behind KPIs and reporting requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English language: B2-C1 level for written and oral communication.
Preferred Skills :
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
- Experience working within Microsoft Fabric.
- Basic understanding of DataOps and CI/CD principles in analytics environments.
- Ability to balance analytical precision with business pragmatism.
- Autonomy and strong sense of ownership.
- Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
