Le poste
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Architect to join our Data Fabric team. In this role, you will actively design, shape, and implement enterprise data architecture with a strong focus on reusable data products for business domains.
You will work closely with the Master Data Management (MDM) team, data engineers & analysts, Information Security and domain stakeholders to design consolidated, authoritative data products and define how they are technically implemented across the platform. You will combine architectural ownership with practical involvement in modeling, integration design, governance implementation, and platform capability configuration.
Key responsibilities :
--> Data architecture design and governance
- Identify and formalize enterprise-wide master data domains (e.g., Customer, HR, Finance) and define their technical implementation patterns
- Collaborate closely with the Master Data Management (MDM) team to support designing golden record structures, consolidation logic, and integration flows
- Design and document reusable master data products, including schemas, contracts, access patterns, and APIs
- Define and actively contribute to conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling data domains
- Work with Data Engineers to translate architecture into implementable medallion layers, curated zones, and integration pipelines
- Define and implement governance standards for ownership, stewardship, lineage, classification, and lifecycle management
- Configure and enforce metadata standards and catalog structures to ensure discoverability and reuse.
- Ensure that architectural decisions are documented and actionable
--> Platform evolution, quality, and strategic oversight
- Design and implement data security patterns including RBAC models, data classification, masking, and privacy controls
- Actively support the implementation and operationalization of governance tooling (e.g., Microsoft Purview), including scanning, lineage validation, and classification setup
- Define practical standards for data product discoverability, documentation, and registration within the platform
- Review and validate data domain implementations to prevent duplication or fragmentation of master data
- Ensure governance and metadata are embedded into CI/CD and deployment processes
- Identify structural risks related to data inconsistency, shadow master data, or uncontrolled data proliferation and implement corrective actions
- Support evaluation of new technologies with hands-on validation of governance and integration impact
--> Enable and support internal data producers and consumers
- Provide direct architectural guidance and design support to Data Engineers and Analysts
- Participate in design workshops and technical deep dives for master data and shared platform services
- Support onboarding new domains with concrete architectural templates and reference implementations
- Promote consistent metadata, security, and data quality practices across domains
- Act as a bridge between the Data Platform team, MDM, and governance/security stakeholders
Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 7+ years of practical experience in data engineering and/or data architecture roles in enterprise environments
- Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise master data or shared data products
- Strong experience with data governance, metadata management, and security implementation in production environments
- Hands-on experience with data catalog/governance tools (MS Purview preferred) including configuration and operational use
- Strong practical experience in data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers
- Strong understanding of access control models, data classification, lineage tracking, and compliance requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services in enterprise-scale environments
- Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Communication and collaboration: Ability to clearly document architecture decisions and work closely with engineering teams
- Fluency in English language: B2-C1 level for written and oral communication
Preferred Skills :
- Experience implementing or integrating with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
- Experience with data governance and metadata practices
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade data platform infrastructure
- Having relevant certificates, i.e. Azure Solution Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, MS Fabric Data Engineer Associate, etc
- Strategic thinking combined with pragmatic execution
- Autonomy and strong sense of ownership
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
