We are currently looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer to support one of our major pharmaceutical partners located in the Hainaut region.
Job Description
Your Mission
As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will ensure the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of automated production systems within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Your role contributes directly to operational continuity and smart‑manufacturing initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
Ensure Operational Continuity :
Diagnose and resolve automation issues (PLC, drives, SCADA, HMI) to minimize downtime
Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, including on‑call participation when required.
Drive Automation Projects :
Lead automation improvements, upgrades, and new system implementations
Write and review technical specifications and support validation activities (I/O testing, FAT/SAT)
Contribute to investment planning and ensure alignment with site automation strategy.
Optimize & Innovate :
Continuously assess system performance and propose improvement actions
Deploy new technologies such as vision systems, modern PLC platforms, HMI upgrades, AI‑based tools, or SCADA enhancements
Maintain and update PLC, SCADA, and vision systems.
Collaborate & Support :
Act as a technical advisor for cross‑functional teams
Train internal users and maintain up‑to‑date documentation
Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners.
Ensure Compliance :
Apply GMP, validation standards, and Change Control processes
Participate in audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory expectations.
Required qualifications
Your Profile
You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, or Industrial Computing
You have a minimum of 5 years experience in automation in an industrial/manufacturing setting
You have a strong knowledge of Siemens S7 and/or Allen‑Bradley systems
And a solid understanding of electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
You are fluent in French, with a good command of English
Analytical, autonomous, flexible, and proactive, you are a person with strong communication skills.
The Recruitment Process
