Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to strengthen a mature, business-critical enterprise solution in the EdTech sector. This role focuses on maintaining, modernizing, and evolving an existing on-premise environment while preparing it for long-term cloud readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain on-premise Business Central environments
- Lead upgrades from C/AL to AL and support the transition from On-Premises to cloud-compatible architecture
- Reduce operational risk by minimizing single-person dependency in migration and upgrade processes
- Advise on and implement best practices for new Microsoft Business Central features
- Maintain and optimize multitenant on-premise architecture (Companial)
- Modernize legacy integrations, including migration from Basic Authentication and NTLM to OAuth
- Ensure compatibility with Finance, Sales & Purchase invoicing, SOAP web services, Axians salary extension, OCRDocs invoice scanning, and ConnectIT (AFAS integration)
- Transition .NET components to cloud-compatible compilation standards
- Proactively identify technical risks and implement sustainable improvements
Required qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Hands-on expertise in AL and C/AL
- Proven BC upgrade and migration experience (e.g. BC14 → BC24/26+)
- Understanding of multitenant On-Prem BC architecture
- Experience with complex extensions and dependencies
- OAuth authentication knowledge in enterprise environments
- Experience transitioning .NET components to cloud-compatible models
- Understanding of AI support capabilities
