Mission & Core Purpose
We're looking for a Privacy & Legal Specialist to join the iubenda Legal Team and help us scale our privacy-first products globally. You'll work closely with the Legal, Product, Engineering, and other teams, contributing both to day-to-day legal operations and to the strategic evolution of our privacy solutions.
As a global company operating primarily in Europe and the United States, we don't require qualification in a specific legal system. What matters most is your ability to understand privacy law deeply and translate it into practical, product-driven solutions.
You'll report directly to the Legal Team and play an active role in shaping how legal expertise supports iubenda's products and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining privacy-related legal documentation, including privacy policies, DPAs, LIAs, DPIAs, and internal guidelines.
• Support for ISO-related evidence gathering and periodic internal checks
• First-line triage for recurring/internal requests (templates, standard answers, internal guidance), escalating complex matters to the legal team
• Providing legal advice and practical guidance to internal stakeholders on privacy, compliance, and contractual matters.
• Translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable recommendations for both legal and non-legal teams.
• Conducting legal research on privacy, data protection, and technology-related topics, and monitoring regulatory and case law developments (GDPR, ePrivacy, US privacy laws, and beyond).

Profil recherché

Experience & Skills
• A Master's degree in Law.
• 2+ years of experience in a legal, privacy, or compliance role, ideally in a techdriven or international environment.
• Full professional proficiency in English, with the ability to work confidently in a legal context.
• Strong interest in technology, SaaS products, and the legal challenges of digital services.
• Solid reasoning and problem-solving skills: you can break down complex issues, focus on what truly matters, and find pragmatic solutions.
• A collaborative mindset: you enjoy working in a team, sharing knowledge, and supporting the best outcome rather than defending your own idea.
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility over your work.
Bonus Points
• Hands-on experience with GDPR and other data protection frameworks (e.g. UK GDPR, US state privacy laws).
• Previous exposure to privacy-focused products or compliance tools.
• Legal experience in more than one jurisdiction or an international working environment.
• Knowledge of additional languages, especially European ones.
• A pragmatic, product-oriented approach to legal problem-solving.
• Admission to the bar in one country.
