Job Description
We are looking for a Back-End Java Developer to join a pharma project focused on building robust backend services and data integrations across multiple data sources. The team works in an agile delivery model and collaborates closely with product and integration teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the backend layer of the application, including REST API endpoints and business logic.
- Design and implement integrations with external systems and applications.
- Ingest data from multiple sources such as Amazon RDS, SOAP APIs, REST APIs, and message queues.
- Implement data export functionalities (PDF, Excel, CSV).
- Develop unit and integration tests using Groovy, Test Containers, and Spring Boot Test.
- Support application releases and provide 2nd level support after deployment.
Required qualifications
- Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL.
- Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
- Exposure to AWS services such as S3, RDS, and CloudFormation is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively on loosely defined problems.
- Experience with modern product development practices, including Agile/Scrum, test-driven development, UX, and design thinking.
