Job Description
Mission context:
As part of a reinforcement within the IT Architecture department, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect for our client in the energy sector.
You will contribute to optimizing the IT infrastructure and modernizing the application landscape by designing or adapting technical solutions that meet business needs and support transformation objectives.
You will be involved in transformation initiatives within a product-oriented organization operating according to agile principles. You will regularly interact with business and IT stakeholders, as well as technical experts, to ensure alignment, consistency, and feasibility of the solutions.
As a member of the Digital Division, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting product teams on a daily basis in defining feasible architectures.
- Documenting the current state and the future target state in a consistent manner.
- Analyzing constraints as well as functional and non-functional requirements.
- Breaking down needs into Solution Building Blocks, relying on recommended architectural styles and patterns.
- Playing a key coordination role between the product organization, the architecture team, and the delivery teams.
- Delivering Architecture Designs in line with standards and guidelines.
- Contributing to the governance cycle (Architecture Review Boards) and decision-making through recognized approaches (ADR, ATAM).
Required qualifications
Here's our wishlist for our ideal candidate:
Fluent English is mandatory (documentation and external communication will be in English)
French or Dutch, as well as German, are strong assets in a multilingual environment
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Solution Architecture, working closely with both business and technical teams.
- Experience with end-to-end processes and identification of cross-domain dependencies.
- Ability to document and maintain architecture blueprints (Business, Application, Data): artefacts, flows, integrations.
- Ability to translate business needs into coherent solutions within a heterogeneous environment.
- Knowledge of standards and frameworks such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM, CBAM.
- Knowledge of architecture modeling tools (ArchiMate) — experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a strong plus.
- Knowledge and application of Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Understanding and implementation of modern architectural paradigms: microservices, event-driven architectures, event streaming.
- Understanding of Data Architecture concepts (data products, data integration patterns, data storage & access patterns).
