Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data products supporting regulatory, operational, and digital transformation initiatives in a pharma environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain process and analytical data products across MRL, MMD, ERA, and Appian ecosystems.
- Develop and integrate data pipelines ensuring high data quality, lineage, and reliability.
- Support regulatory data enablement, including structured data for submission content (e.g. CTD sections S2.5, P3.5).
- Collaborate on data virtualization and ingestion into the MRL data lake as part of modernization initiatives.
- Lead data modeling activities and define data architectures using Delta Lake and Databricks Delta.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Work closely with product owners, SMEs, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Delta, Delta Lake architecture, Matillion, dbt, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience designing data models and working with data architecture frameworks (e.g. PowerDesigner).
- Solid understanding of data integration, data quality, and lineage concepts.
- Experience supporting cloud-based and modern data platform architectures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
