Job Description

The Demand Planning & Customer Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the country's demand planning, customer supply chain strategy, replenishment, and customer service execution. Working closely with local and global teams, this role ensures accurate forecasting, optimized inventory levels, efficient logistics operations, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

1. Demand Planning

- Collaborate with the Country Demand Planning Manager, Commercial, and Marketing teams to recommend the final Unconstrained Demand Plan to be submitted to the Global Ambient S&OP.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy and reliability of planning data.
- Promote the adoption of best practices and tools for demand planning across the country.


2. Replenishment & Inventory Management

- Drive the implementation of local processes and tools to optimize inventory levels and service levels.
- Define the country's inventory strategy, oversee warehousing, import/export, rework, repackaging, and finished goods quality checks.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.


3. Customer Supply Chain

- Define and execute the customer supply chain strategy aligned with the overall BU strategy.
- Manage the Order-to-Delivery process, in partnership with 3PL providers and customers' supply chain teams.
- Optimize logistics cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels.
- Provide recommendations to Global DP & CSC on order and transportation management.


4. Customer Service

- Ensure smooth and efficient order processing, fulfilment, and delivery execution.
- Lead the relationship with customers' supply chain teams and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to proactively identify and resolve potential issues related to inventory and delivery.
- Oversee commercial quality assurance processes, including audits and compliance monitoring.


5. Leadership & People Development

- Build and lead a high-performing DP & CSC team, attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Implement talent management, career development, and performance evaluation strategies.


6. Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate and implement projects such as logistics footprint review and new bundling line implementation.
- Act as an active member of both the country leadership team and the Global DP & CSC leadership team, contributing to long-term strategic plans and issue resolution across markets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Demand Planning: Forecast accuracy, bias
- Inventory Management: Days inventory outstanding, ageing stock
- Customer Supply Chain: Logistics cost per volume
- Customer Service: Service level achievement, customer satisfaction score


Required qualifications


- Minimum 10 years' experience in related functions (demand management, replenishment planning, S&OP, supply planning, or logistics).
- Higher education degree in engineering or business school.
- Fluent English is mandatory; Italian and/or French are a plus.
- Demonstrated passion for the FMCG industry and experience in dynamic, matrixed organizations.
