Job Description
As Controls Engineer you will design, develop and validate the control strategies of our innovative transmission. It has a modular design with variants that are suitable for mild-, plug-in and full hybrid vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to cutting-edge SW solutions within the automotive industry, ensuring compliance with functional-, performance- and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- You will join a team of more or less 20 controls strategy- and modeling experts that develop the controls software for our hybrid DCT product line.
- This specific vacancy is a combination of being the responsible for our MIL environment and working on tools & processes. The controls software is developed according to the Model Based Development process (V-cycle) with Simulink.
- We have a vehicle MIL model and also component MIL's (for example only the clutch control SW in closed loop with a clutch plantmodel).
- As responsible for the MIL models you will work on the integration of new controls SW and new component models in our MIL simulation environment. You will update the plantmodels yourself or align with our simulation team on what updates are needed. You will run simulation to test the new functionalities. You will align with our controller and plantmodel are also used in their vehicle MIL simulations. You will also align with the HIL team to make sure that the MIL model can be converted into a HIL model that can run realtime on the HIL. You will also work with the Systems team to align how the MIL model can be used for their needs in MBSE.
- The goal is that you take initiatives to further improve our MIL simulation environment so that the controls engineers can efficiently test their updates and we can "shift as much as possible to the left" and find bugs as early as possible in the development cycle.
- You will also work in our ‘Methods and tools team' to develop and roll out tools & processes. The goal is to provide the Controls Developers an environment in which they can develop new controls strategies in an efficient way while being compliant with the automotive standards like ISO26262, ASPICE and Autosar.
- In this part of the role you will be working on: configuring Simulink models for Autosar integration, Controls SW integration, Controls SW testing (unit, module, vehicle MIL), continuous integration, SW generation, Controls SW build & release, tools development, process development, automation, ASPICE compliance.
