We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, Romania (remotely), playing a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud data infrastructure to support enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and operational efficiency across the group.
You will work closely with BI Architects, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to drive the development of modern data platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐:
ย ย - Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other ETL tools.
ย ย - Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
ย ย - Integrate data from multiple sources into Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Data Warehouses.
ย ย - Support and enhance Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, including modeling and implementing data quality rules (Profisee experience is a plus).
ย ย - Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
ย ย - Ensure high performance, availability, scalability, and security of data environments.
ย ย - Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot pipeline failures or data inconsistencies.
ย ย - Contribute to best practices for data governance, documentation, and DevOps automation in the data space.

Required qualifications
๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐:
ย ย - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
ย ย - 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in a cloud-native environment.
ย ย - Prior experience in a trading, commodity, energy, or financial services environment.๏ปฟ
ย ย - Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Azure Data Lake.
ย ย - Solid experience with SQL and ETL/ELT development.
ย ย - Proven experience with data modeling (fact/dimension tables), data warehouse design, and BI support.
ย ย - Comfortable working with big data sets and optimizing data delivery and pipeline performance.
ย ย - Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
ย ย - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

ย ย - Experience with Profisee or other MDM platforms.

ย ย - Experience in commodity trading or energy industries is a strong advantage.
