Job Description
We're looking for a Master Data Lead to own the regional Master Data processes for a global premium consumer goods company, leading process design, identifying process improvements, and enabling process digitisation and innovation. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the strategic process roadmap, enabling improved operational results by applying best practice process expertise, and determining objects/domains where central governance provides benefits. In addition, the Master Data Lead manages and develops a team of data professionals, providing
leadership, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis and evaluation of differences in Master Data processes within the Global S/4 template and local CEE Region needs, including:
-- defining data maintenance processes and data flows
-- definition of data quality standards and harmonization needed to support S/4, IBP and risk and compliance roll-outs, and monitor data quality and cleansing progress
- Consider the strategic implications of cultural, legal and regulatory differences across different countries/regions that affect the accounting function
- Preparing process documentation
- Performing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) during the Test Stage of the project
- Team management, including leading, developing, and motivating a team
Required qualifications
- Relevant academic background in Finance, IT, Data Management, or related field
- Understanding and experience with creating and maintaining Master Data
- Proven experience in team management, including leading, developing, and motivating a team of data professionals
- Experience with master data management in SAP S/4HANA environments
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management principles
- Experience with Informatica solution is a plus
- Strong understanding of data migration and cleansing activities
- Experience with cross-domain decision-making and strategic initiative planning
- Ability to define and monitor KPIs and performance management metrics
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English; any other language is a plus
