Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting electrical power systems in compliance with UAE regulations. The role involves preparing design documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting site execution during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical power systems including UPS, distribution boards, and field wiring diagrams.
- Prepare and review electrical design documentation in compliance with UAE regulations and project requirements.
- Develop interface documents for coordination between different engineering systems.
- Collaborate with telecom engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of power systems with telecom systems.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams for smooth execution of projects.
- Support site activities during construction, testing, and commissioning (T&C).
- Ensure timely delivery of design packages and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
Required qualifications
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proven experience in preparing electrical design documentation as per UAE regulations.
- Strong knowledge of UPS systems, distribution boards, and field wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience in power system design with telecom systems integration.
- Familiarity with interface document preparation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
