Job Description
We are hiring a Financial Controller for a permanent position with our customer in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
Our customer specializes in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of aerostructure components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
The Financial Controller plays a key role in overseeing the company's financial health by monitoring work in progress (WIP), preparing accurate financial reports, conducting in-depth financial analysis, supporting budgeting processes, implementing effective cost control measures, and contributing to financial audits.
The role ensures financial transparency and supports decision-making through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track key financial indicators and variances against budget and forecasts.
2. Financial Analysis
- Perform regular financial performance analysis (margin, cost, variance, profitability, etc.).
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data.
- Support decision-making with ad hoc financial analysis and scenario planning.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather input for budget planning.
- Monitor actual vs. budget and initiate corrective actions as needed.
4. Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures across the company.
- Monitor cost structures and drive efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Promote financial discipline across departments.
5. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant external regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls.
Required qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's or CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial control, reporting, or analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience in aviation/MRO/manufacturing industry is preferred.

- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, Power BI).
