Job Description

In a fast-evolving digital landscape, cybersecurity has become a critical focus for industrial and embedded systems. The Charleroi site plays a central role in defining cybersecurity requirements and performing upstream risk analyses in close collaboration with international development centers. 🎯 Your Responsibilities As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will join the product cybersecurity team and take part in the following activities: Conduct risk assessments on embedded and OT systems. Contribute to the definition of security requirements at system level. Work closely with development and business teams to identify and assess potential threats. Integrate and validate cybersecurity test and analysis reports from development centers. Monitor regulatory and standard evolutions to ensure product compliance. Adapt scope of work based on the maturity of internal teams and project needs. Support the validation of cybersecurity architectures for safety-critical railway projects. Contribute to the creation of Verification & Validation Plans in coordination with cybersecurity managers.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in engineering or a technical/scientific field (e.g., computer science, electronics, telecom). First experience in industrial or IT cybersecurity (motivated juniors welcome if structured and eager to learn). Knowledge of cyber risk assessment methodologies: EBIOS RM, ISO 27005, IEC 62443, etc. Strong understanding of network protocols, embedded systems, OS (Linux), and communication interfaces. Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with software, hardware, and business teams. Analytical mindset, strong documentation skills, and a service-oriented attitude. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Nice to Have Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001, IEC 62443. Experience in regulated industries such as railway, aerospace, energy, or defense. Hands-on experience with security appliances: firewalls, gateways, routers, PLC controllers. Experience implementing cybersecurity measures in embedded or industrial environments.
