Job Description
Are you passionate about ensuring quality in complex embedded systems? We're looking for a QA Test Engineer to join a dynamic and experienced team dedicated to delivering reliable and innovative railway communication and passenger information systems.
With over 35 years of expertise in the rail industry and technology present on more than 60,000 vehicles worldwide, we develop, produce, and maintain high-performance systems that redefine on-board experience.
As a QA Test Engineer, you will be a key part of the product development lifecycle, ensuring that every system deployed onboard trains meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review hardware and software requirement specifications of advanced onboard railway systems (e.g., functionality, performance, security, scalability).
Develop and execute thorough test scenarios to validate that systems meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Identify, document, and report system issues or anomalies; collaborate closely with development teams to resolve them.
Design and conduct regression testing to validate changes or updates in the system.
Serve as the final validation gate before system deployment on operational trains.
Ensure all system deliveries meet high-level quality requirements and customer expectations.
Required qualifications
A Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, ICT, Electronics) or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in software or system testing.
Strong knowledge of C++ and Python; practical C experience is a plus.
Comfortable working with Linux at user level.
Familiarity with QA practices such as unit testing, Robot Framework, and Continuous Integration.
Solid understanding of IP network protocols.
A strong interest in embedded hardware and the ability to debug and investigate issues at low-level system layers.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
