What You'll Do
🔬 Pipeline Excellence: Design, build, and maintain robust Nextflow pipelines for scientific data analysis
☁️ Cloud Innovation: Architect and deploy scalable solutions using AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Batch, ECS, and more)
🛠️ Infrastructure as Code: Implement modern IaC practices with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
🔄 CI/CD Mastery: Build and optimize continuous integration workflows using Jenkins
🏗️ Microservices Architecture: Develop modular, scalable solutions focused on scientific data management
🤝 Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with research and business teams to deliver innovative solutions
Required qualifications
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements (3+ years experience)
Programming Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, or C# (object-oriented programming)
Nextflow Proficiency: Deep knowledge of pipeline execution, maintenance, and debugging
Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience integrating AWS services into production workflows
DevOps Foundation: Solid background with CI/CD workflows (Jenkins or equivalent)
Infrastructure as Code: Experience with CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform
Architecture Skills: Ability to build microservice solutions for scientific data analysis
Valuable Experience (2+ years)
Development Stack: Java/Spring, Python, or C#/.NET for production workflows
System Administration: Linux command line proficiency
API Integration: REST, GraphQL, and 3rd party platform integration experience
Database Design: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL for ETL pipelines
Scripting: Python and Bash automation skills
Platform Experience: Previous work with Epam-Cora deployment/support
Bonus Points
High-Performance Computing: Experience with resource-intensive HPC analysis modules
Containerization: Docker, Singularity, Kubernetes, Helm expertise
Testing Frameworks: Robot, Selenium, or other end-to-end testing tools
NoSQL Databases: ElasticSearch or other non-relational database experience
Systems Programming: C/C++ library building and troubleshooting on Linux
Frontend Development: Any JavaScript framework experience
