Job Description

Are you a driven R&D Engineer ready to tackle new challenges within a dynamic and innovation-driven environment? For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced R&D Engineer to support and contribute to advanced machine development projects. As an R&D Engineer, you will be embedded in the client's R&D team and play a key role in the development of innovative machinery and sub-systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and supporting innovation projects from concept design through to prototype testing and industrialization. - Providing creative input into the design and engineering of new machines and their components. - Following a structured Machine Engineering Process for system/subsystem design, integration, and validation. - Ensuring machine functionality with attention to performance, cost, reliability, sustainability, manufacturability, ergonomics, maintenance, and safety. - Analysing machine and sensor data to generate insights that drive innovation, and presenting findings to internal stakeholders. - Delivering clear and complete project documentation to ensure knowledge is effectively transferred within the organization.

Required qualifications

- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical or mechatronic engineering roles. - Proficient in CAD tools; programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for data processing or system modelling are a strong plus. - Strong communicator with the ability to convey technical ideas effectively across teams. - Structured, reliable, and deadline-driven; able to flag scope or timing changes proactively. - Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving skills. - Capable of working independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams. - Hands-on approach and a proactive attitude. - Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or German is a strong asset.
