Job Description
For one of our key clients in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced SCADA Engineer to support the Grid Automation team. You will contribute to the engineering and configuration of SCADA systems for high-voltage substations operating under specific technical standards.
Responsibilities
• Configure and engineer RTU500 systems using: Database engineering, HMI development, PLC programming
• Apply and interpret specific SCADA requirements and technical concept notes.
• Contribute to engineering activities related to high-voltage substations, including system architecture and signal handling.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for successful project execution.
• Deliver accurate documentation, testing support, and system validation.
Required qualifications
• Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent by experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in SCADA engineering or substation automation
• Hands-on experience with RTU500 configuration and engineering tools (RTUtil, HMIEditor, Multiprog)
• Understanding of HV substation layouts and components (e.g. coupling field, transformer field, line field)
• Familiarity with SCADA specifications and documentation standards
• Good command of Dutch or French (preferably both)
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team
