Job Description
You will join a specialized R&D team working on the design, enhancement, and testing of modular radar systems, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of detection, surveillance, and situational awareness technology.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping new technological solutions from concept to system integration:
System Architecture & Design:
• Define and develop the overall system architecture for radar solutions, considering both hardware and software integration.
• Ensure modularity, scalability, and robustness of systems in line with evolving industry needs.
Research and Development:
• Stay abreast of the latest technological trends (e.g., signal processing, antenna design, calibration technologies).
• Contribute actively to internal R&D initiatives aimed at advancing system capabilities for civil and military radar applications.
Customer Interaction & Project Collaboration:
• Work closely with customers, project managers, and product managers to gather technical requirements and translate them into viable engineering solutions.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle: from specifications, design reviews, integration, testing, up to final validation.
Innovation & Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve existing radar products and propose innovative system-level enhancements.
• Support field teams and end-users with technical expertise during deployment and troubleshooting phases.
Required qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electromechanics, Systems Engineering) or equivalent through experience.
Technical Expertise:
• Solid understanding of system engineering principles and multi-disciplinary system integration.
• Experience with system-level design and conceptual development of complex high-tech products is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with radar technology, signal processing, or RF systems is a plus (but not mandatory).
Skills and Competencies:
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate abstract concepts into concrete system architectures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Eagerness to work in an international and multi-disciplinary environment.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
