We are hiring a Senior Aerospace Electrical Designer to work on a new large high speed combat UAV.
It is a permanent position with our customer based in UAE.
Job Description
The role of the Senior Aerospace Electrical Designer will be to produce Electrical CAD designs including wiring harness manufacturing data packs.
• Develop electrical system layout drawings
• Produce wiring diagrams and the associated 3D harness
• Produce complete harness manufacturing data packs for production (wiring diagram, assemblies & BOM's)
• Configuration of manufacturing data packs within the PLM/PDM system
• Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team
• Adhere to relevant electrical design & aviation standards and code of conduct of the company.
Required qualifications
• BEng or Master of Engineering in Aerospace
• 10 to 15 years experience in the design of electrical harness for aerospace (aircraft or UAV)
• Very good knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and if possible CATIA V5
• Good understanding of electrical harness manufacturing requirements and processes
• Good understanding of grounding and bonding, EMI/EMF shielding, and wire gauge selection
• Capacity to perform basic design calculations
• Working knowledge of PDM/PLM systems
