We are currently looking for a Modular Construction Engineer for an EPC project aimed at delivering a complete offshore platform, including the transport and installation of modules from fabrication yards to the final site (Position based initially in Italy, followed by an assignment in Mozambique).
Job Description
Overview of the role
- Participate in the preparation of technical documentation prior to tendering
- Define the scope of maritime transport and module installation services
- Review shipping and transport contractors' offers, perform technical clarifications, and prepare bid evaluation recommendations
- Perform ballast, mooring, and vessel stability studies
- Verify civil infrastructures (roads, quays, networks, underground facilities)
- Design lifting plans (crane selection, rigging design)
- Define grillage and sea-fastening solutions
- Coordinate interfaces with structural, civil, and naval disciplines
- Prepare technical dossiers and tender documents
- Participate in bid evaluations
- Manage site operations: load-out, transport, and installation
Required qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of proven operational experience in module load-out and heavy land transportation operations
- Excellent knowledge of DNV-ST-N001 standards applicable to marine and transport operations
- Experience in structural design coordination with structural engineering teams
- Strong expertise in module transportation engineering: SPMT operations, load-out/load-in activities, ballasting analysis and mooring studies
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
Benefits
Gross annual salary: €75K to €80K per year.
